Who We Are:
Amherst Wines & Spirits is totally dedicated to the enjoyment and learning of wine. Our shop features a selection unlike most others - many labels you won't find elsewhere. This is because, in selecting wines for the shop, we care about only two things - what does the wine taste like and what does it cost. If it does not taste like what's on the label (a Chianti, for instance, should taste like Chianti) or if the price is too high for what we're tasting, we don't stock it. Pretty simple actually. This sometimes drives our suppliers nuts as we demand to taste everything before buying, but it's the best way we know to stock our shop. Our staff is knowledgeable and unstuffy. We are a service-oriented business with very competitive pricing. We offer case discounts, mixed or solid, of 10%.
We also offer a selection of premium spirits - grappa, armagnac, cognac, eau-di-vie, calvados, and an outstanding selection of single malt scotches and bourbons.
